Biography

Barrister Sanwar Hossain is an Advocate in Bangladesh Supreme Court and Managing Partner of S Hossain & Associates. He has been practicing law from 2007 and has built an implacable reputation as a go-to lawyer in Bangladesh for foreign investment, family disputes, and white-collar litigation cases. He has conducted many cases in courts starting from Magistrate Court to the High Court Division and has appeared in different tribunals such as Tax tribunals, the Right to Information Commission, and the Election Commission.

He has established himself as one of the most dependable, prominent, and result-oriented advocates in Bangladesh. He is a Researcher at the China South Asia Legal Research Center at Yunnan University, Kunming, and delivered a keynote speech at the 1st China-South Asia Legal Exchange Conference in November 2015. He has advised multinational companies on matters such as energy, banking and insurance, enforcement of foreign judgments, divorce and child custody, criminal and property matters. He is an active member of i-probono in Bangladesh and regularly advises social organisations on a pro-bono basis.
